Rico. In color.

Here are a selection of color images from my Fall 2010 workshop at Rayko. Love color. I may never go back. (Well, except to print some black and white.)

Mixed feelings.

Here are some prints from my black and white photography workshop. I learned a lot and can't wait to get into the darkroom with more of a focus and try to make a cohesive body of work.  I'll probably end up painting on most of these. Get excited for that.

Tye

Here's the one I did of my brother. I later got rid of the mustache and added in some graphic elements to the top, but forgot to take another picture. Who next?

Dy'Ann

I'm working on a portrait of my mom. I usually don't do portraits, but I knew she didn't want her picture painted so it gave me some motivation. : ) I think she secretly likes it. I'm doing a small one of my brother as well.

Fridge in progess...

So I am working on a little project.
My old roommate, Marykate, used to have these fridge magnets that I just loved. They make me laugh endlessly. I decided to use them, as well as a bunch of random facebook profile pictures selected out of my friends (which was the first time I've actually looked at my list of 406 friends... crazy.) to create a virtual fridge of sorts. Here is an image I was playing around with of Grant. I like the negative look, but don't think I'll use it throughout the project. If you want your profile picture to be included let me know and I'll add it to the list.

More to come...

"Sittin' on the porch of my tin roof shack by the highway..."

I miss Rico

The porch

...of my tin roof shack.

Independence day.

Sunset sparklers on the fourth.

Jacqueline Rush Lee

Originally from Ireland, but now calls Hawaii her home, Jacqueline uses books to create these beautiful sculptures. This is one of my favorites, but look at her website... she has a pretty large collection of book sculptures and paintures. Yes... paintures. Intrigued?

Fresh off the press!

Or is it "Hot off the press?" Hmm... I'm not really sure.
Hate it when that happens.
Either way...

Here is a photo I took of my brother a couple weeks ago up near Wilson Peak.
This shot was taken at about 13,300 feet. Yes, I'm bragging.
